SOLD OUT – Our Spring Luncheon is set to take place on Friday 24 October 2025 at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth with Claudia Karvan, Australian actor, producer, and screenwriter, joining us as our special guest speaker in a fireside chat with Laura Maker, Vice President, Women in Insurance.

Born and raised in Sydney, Karvan is widely considered a national icon and one of our most respected screen talents. Karvan began her acting career young with breakout role in High Tide (1987), starring alongside Judy Davis. Her career continued to flourish throughout the 1990s with The Big Steal (1990), Dating the Enemy (1996), and Paperback Hero (1999). In 2000s, Karvan became a household name through TV series such as Love My Way (2004–2007), The Secret Life of Us (2001–2003), Spirited (2010–2011) and Newton’s Law (2017). Her most recent work is the popular Stan series Bump, which she co-created and co-produced. In 2023, Claudia Karvan was made a member of the Order of Australia for service to the film and television industry.
